Junior's Facebook Page

Cameron is looking forward enthusiastically to the challenges on offer in the golfing year ahead.
Cameron (14) a pupil at Parkside Academy in Willington, has been a member of the Junior Section since joining the Club in 2014.
It's thanks to a suggestion from his Dad and initially hitting balls in a local field that introduced Cameron to a sport not an option in his school curriculum. With regular playing, coaching and practice his handicap reduced in two years to 28 and he's now playing off a very respectable 16.
"I've met a totally new group of friends through golf and we play regularly at Bishop but we also play Open Competitions at courses around the County which is great fun and good for our golf. Last year I represented Durham County in the Junior Tour Final winning the Order of Merit in the Mizuno R2R with best nett and finishing 4th in the final at Rockliffe. "
Golf has become a huge part of Hamilton family life, with parents John and Kate readily supporting Cameron and now daughter Cassidy (12) who is playing regularly and showing great potential.
"I'm looking forward to helping our Junior Section develop, introducing and supporting new members. It would be great to see our junior team play well in this year's league matches and I'll be working hard on my game to hopefully reduce my handicap again this year."
